With the lifting of the county's Shelter In Place order, we will be starting
our summer class schedule. This comes with some new guidelines to
ensure health and safety.

Social Distancing Updates: 6/1/20

Hi my puppety friends!

I'm hoping you all stayed creative during shut down. Things are starting to open again, and we're no exception.
The current plan is to open on June 8th!

New summer hours will be Monday through Saturday, 9-6 PM. The last class books no later than 4 pm.

We want to keep everyone as safe as possible. Our new rules can be viewed here.
These rules are written in stone as people in my world have immune issues, no exceptions!

An appointment is necessary to tour the space and book your spot in person.

  •  We will be open for scheduled classes only, no walk-in traffic to see the creatures.

  • Student workspaces will be 8’ apart at all times.

  • A drawing/ waiting table in the front will keep any early arrivals 12’ from working students.

  • We will have a maximum of 4 students, and no more than 2 instructors/interns in the workspace at all times.

  • Students will enter/exit through our back door to help avoid contact with any other mall visitors.

This plan only extends through the summer as we plan to follow UC's plan of going to online classes, workshops, and performances during the Fall/Winter months.

We also have online classes available during studio hours.
These classes include a supply kit (that can be mailed or picked up curbside) and 1 hour online instruction.
Make A Muppet and Family Engagement classes are currently available, but we plan to have the majority of our classes online by Fall!

Space is limited to only 4 students per 2-hour block, so book your spots ASAP! You can book as many blocks as you want or stretch the classes out over the summer. Private classes are available for added charge.

Deadline to sign up for June spots is 6/6/20. Classes can be booked online and paid for by CC or through PayPal.

For any questions on schedules, fees, and the new normal here at the Institute, please contact us at or call (831 601 9822) between 10-4pm Mon-Sat.

Finally our scholarship classes are still available and a portion of all paid classes helps support this program!
We’re also pleased to be adding free classes for children of essential workers this summer as well. Please feel free to pass this info on to anyone in need and have them contact me for more info. We have lost all our sources for funding through the next year leaving us back to square one; but we have a space, the tools, and the heart to start over!
If you would like to help sponsor these kids we encourage you to make a pledge on our Patreon Page!

Starting over is hard, but not as hard as having to close the doors!
I encourage you to take a class, or make pledge and help us continue to make the world a cooler place… One puppet at a time!
