The Puppetry Institute is a 501c3 nonprofit
that aims to place the magic of creativity in as many hands as possible!
Creativity benefits a child's wellbeing and development, yet material expenses can be a road block for many families that could benefit from this powerful outlet the most.
A third of all class sales go into our scholarship program,
which allows us to put materials and instruction into the hands of children in need!
Scholarship students will be able to join an in-person workshop tailored to their specific interests entirely free of charge! They will have access to all materials,
tools, and instruction needed to take their idea from dreams to reality.
Our art classes can be therapeutic, empowering, and teach VAPA and STEAM skills in a fun and engaging way! Students will be able to take their creations home, along with their newfound creative skills and the self confidence to express themselves!
Who is eligable?
Scholarships are available to local youth living on the central coast
aged 8-16 years old, who are experiencing financial or special challenges.
This includes Children enrolled in CASA, Jacobs Heart, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the foster care system, who live with disabilities, and those from lower income families.
