For countless eons, Varathos, the last of the Eternix Dragons, has stood alone against the unraveling forces of chaos. Born from the first breath of the cosmos, the Eternix were entrusted with a sacred duty, to weave the threads of reality and keep the infinite storms of disorder at bay. But it was never meant to be a task carried by one alone. A successor was promised, a new guardian who would share the burden before the fires of the one before burned out. For Varathos, that successor never came.

Now, ancient beyond imagining, Varathos towers larger than their predecessors, their scales dulled with age and power ebbing like a dying star. The strain of holding back chaos has withered even their vast magic, and the seams of reality tremble as breaches begin to tear through the worlds. Where once Varathos's roar could shape the firmament, now even their mighty wings struggle to rise.
